Program:

> Max Planck Sciences Po Center on Coping with Instability in Market Societies

Participant(s)

Philipp THER (Univ. de Vienne)

The lecture addresses the neoliberal turn of the revolutions of 1989, the major economic reforms, their effects on the post-communist societies and the reverberations on Western Europe and in particular on Germany, which was “co-transformed”. It will analyse also the “transformation from below” with a focus on various social groups and individuals, poor rural and booming capital regions such as Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Vienna and Kyiv.

Commentaire : Jenny ANDERSSON (Sciences Po)
